Welcome to the City of Long Beach Commissions, Boards and Committees information site. Information about the City's many commissions, boards and committees is available on this page.

The City is now accepting applications for City commissions, committees, and boards for terms beginning July 2008. Citizens are urged to apply.

Several recommendations for appointments and/or re-appointments are scheduled to be referred to the City Council for final approval in the weeks leading to a mid-June Council meeting. Charter commission appointments will first be referred to the City Council’s Personnel and Civil Service Committee prior to review by the full Council.

Applications are also used to fill vacancies that occur throughout the year.
