Building a Better Long Beach
Tenant Relocation Assistance Ordinance
The City’s new Tenant Relocation Assistance Ordinance (Ordinance) affecting multi-family rental units is now in effect. The Ordinance will require landlords to pay relocation payments to residential tenants who are displaced by no fault of their own.
Provide Input on City's Inclusionary Housing Policy
Learn more about the recently completed economic feasibility study and provide feedback on the proposed inclusionary housing policy the City is considering to encourage the development of mixed-income housing citywide.
New State Building Standards Code Changes to Take Effect
Beginning on January 1, 2020, Long Beach is required by law to enforce the 2019 Edition of the California Building Standards Codes. All projects submitted on or before December 31, 2019, must comply with the new requirements.
