Middle Harbor/Airport Infrastructure Employment Opportunities

The Port of Long Beach and the Long Beach Airport infrastructure projects will have on-going opportunities for referrals to project contractors or union apprentice programs. Contractors entering various phases of construction will require local residents and will contact Pacific Gateway for referrals. To be considered for referral, individuals should visit a Pacific Gateway Career Center closest to them so that a list of all current skills will be readily available.

To Register: 

Please bring any combination of the following documents with you to any of our One Stop Centers*: 
State ID / Driver’s License AND Social Security Card 
OR 
School ID Card (with birth date) AND Social Security Card 
OR 
School ID Card (without birth date) AND Social Security Card AND Birth Certificate 
OR 
U.S. Passport AND any proof of Social Security Number (Social Security Card, School Printout) 
If applicable, also bring your unexpired Permanent Resident Card (Green Card).


Males born on or after January 1, 1960, must be registered with the Selective Service System. Call (847) 688-3117 or visit www.sss.gov Also bring a current list of all construction related skills and certifications.
