The Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Board, with more than 40 active business and community leaders, represents the southern coastal region of Los Angeles County, including Lomita, Long Beach, Signal Hill, and Torrance.

The Board is responsible for oversight of the federal Workforce Investment Act resources, leveraging robust and responsive business solutions and One-Stop Career Center systems in Pacific Gateway's service area that deliver critical workforce and economic development services to diverse communities.

The Board works closely with a Policy Committee that includes Lomita Mayor Don Suminaga, Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster, Signal Hill Mayor TIna L. Hansen, and City of Torrance Councilmember Gene Barnett.  Focused on its role as a strong Industry Convener, Workforce Intermediary, and Service Broker, the Board works closely with key Regional partners around Southern California to ensure workforce development activities that are an essential part of regional economic development and job creation strategies.

The following documents constitute the draft of Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Network Local Plan.  These documents were uploaded on May 22, 2013 and will be available here until June 24, 2013. A hard copy of these documents can be picked up at the Pacific Gateway office located at 3447 Atlantic Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90807.

Interested parties may provide feedback via mail or delivery to the above address, or by fax at (562) 570-3657.  A Public Hearing is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013 in the 2nd Floor Plaza Room at the above address.  All public comments will be taken into consideration in development ofthe final draft Plan.
