your family healthy? Healthy Active Long Beach is here to help!

Healthy Active Long Beach can help you, your family and even your providers learn about:

  • Eating at a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables every day.
  • Getting daily physical activity.
  • The Food Stamp Program.

Some of the activities Healthy Active Long Beach does in your community are:

  • Outreach at local events, health fairs and local Farmers’ Markets.
  • Presentations for local providers of low-income families.
  • Nutrition Education Classes with plenty of hands-on learning for eligible families with children.
  • Healthy cooking demonstrations.
  • Healthy recipes and food tastings.

So if you are ready to learn more about nutrition, how to get more fruits and vegetables into your diet, and recipe ideas,
look for Healthy Active Long Beach at these places:

  • Nutrition Education Workshop at Cesar E. Chavez Park from 10:15 am - 11:30 am the 2nd Monday of Each Month.
  • Downtown Farmers’ Market (Fridays at the City Place)

  • Health fairs and local events.
