Food facilities remain closed until the condition resulting in the closure has been corrected and verified by an Environmental Health Specialist. Conditions that would result in a facility closure include, but are not limited, to the following: Sewage contamination Lack of potable water No hot water Unsafe food temperatures Ill employees Vermin infestation Absence of a valid and current Public Health Permit Any other condition that would prohibit the facility from operating in a safe manner For further information on reasons for food facility closures click here. A food facility includes, but is not limited to, the following: Restaurants, Markets, Catering Trucks, Carts, Liquor Stores and any other such facility that stores, sells, prepares or serves food to the public.
