The Public Health Laboratory is a fully accredited laboratory providing both clinical and environmental tests for lead. As a CLIA-certified laboratory, it can provide testing for blood lead from both capillary and venous samples. The laboratory will provide training to local area CHDP providers on the collection of capillary samples for blood lead.
The Public Health Laboratory is also certified by AIHA and approved by HUD for testing dust wipes, paint, soil and water for the presence of lead. For information on pricing, specimen collection and turn-around times, contact the laboratory at (562) 570-4077.
