Food facilities remain closed until the condition resulting in the closure has been corrected and verified by an Environmental Health Specialist. Conditions that would result in a facility closure include, but are not limited, to the following:

• Sewage contamination
• Lack of potable water
• No hot water
• Unsafe food temperatures
• Ill employees
• Vermin infestation
• Absence of a valid and current Public Health Permit
• Any other condition that would prohibit the facility from operating in a safe manner

A food facility includes, but is not limited to, the following: Restaurants, Markets, Catering Trucks, Carts, Liquor Stores and any other such facility that stores, sells, prepares or serves food to the public.
