The Healthy Homes workshop invites the community to learn helpful information on how to keep your home environment healthier, cleaner and safer. The purpose of the workshop is to increase resident’s awareness and understanding of a healthy and safe home and community environment using practical hands-on exercises and interactive dialogues. The workshop provides individuals and families information on the prevention of health hazards in the home and the prevention of asthma, allergies and other respiratory illnesses. Additionally, information on reducing pest infestation and how to effectively dialogue with landlords regarding improvement of housing conditions were also discussed.
