Long Beach CERT GRADUATION We are requesting volunteers to participate as victims all Graduation exercises! Location: Long Beach Fire Training Center Time: 8:00 A.M. to 12 noon (check with contact before showing up) Please wear appropriate clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. LB CERT Training Classes are starting
Jan 2009, March 2009 and May 2009 classes are full.
But please send an email to Josh Johnson if you are interested as new classes may open up. Right now the next Available class is July 2009. NOTE: If you missed any of your CERT classes, you need to make them up in order to obtain your CERT ID card and starter backpack. You may attend the specific class that is ongoing to make it up. Please contact FF Josh Johnson for more information. see below and calendar for details
2009 CERT Class at the Long Beach Fire Training Center
Class 2009-01 will start 15 Jan 2009
Class 2009-02 will start 12 March 2009
Class 2009-03 will start 14 May 2009
Class 2009-04 will start in July 2009
- All Training will be held Thursdays, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM - Graduation, Saturday following last class, 8:00am to 12 pm
If you are interested in attending the CERT training or adding your name for future CERT classes, please email FF Josh Johnson or call him @ (562) 570-2516. For groups of 25-30 people who need to be trained (businesses, HOAs, city departments, etc.), LB CERT may be able to offer your own class for your group. Please contact Will Nash for more information.
Disaster Preparedness Seminars are now being scheduled in the local communities and associations in Long Beach.

Description of Activity
CERT Disaster Preparedness Presentation
This presentation is a brief 30 minute introduction to the CERT program and disaster preparedness for your community. Community members have an opportunity to get more involved by participation in the 6 week CERT class (see Syllabus) or a Disaster Preparedness Seminar.
CERT Disaster Preparedness Seminar
This seminar is a 2 hour Disaster Preparedness class that provides the attendee with important information about preparing themselves and their family for a disaster.
