Business License

Welcome to Long Beach! We are pleased that you are becoming a part of our Long Beach business community and we wish you much success! Taxes and fees collected as part of the Business License program help fund essential services in the City, such as:

Street repairs | Parks | Beach Maintenance | Police | Fire

The Business License Division is responsible for levying and collecting taxes, fees, and other assessments as well as licensing and permitting all businesses throughout the City.

City Hall is currently closed to the public until further notice. During this time, all in person services are unavailable. If you have questions, please call (562) 570-6211 or email lbbiz@longbeach.gov.

To help balance the City’s budget during this economic downturn, some City services will be closed on alternating Fridays for staff furloughs (unpaid time off). To see a schedule of impacted service days, visit longbeach.gov/furlough
