North Long Beach Urban Forest Strategy Survey

Release Date: 2016-02-22

In the midst of rising temperatures stemming from global climate change, and reduced amounts of water availability due to drought conditions, the question of whether or not tree plantings can benefit a city is a definite to ask.

The California Environmental Protection Agency Air Resources Board has found that the right tree can improve air quality as well as provide other benefits such as shade and beauty. With the help of our City of Long Beach, Office of Sustainability arborists, we can find the perfect tree for your street.
