Beach Streets Uptown

Release Date: 2015-04-29

Saturday, June 6, 2015
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Atlantic Avenue from Wardlow Road to Harding Street

Get those bikes, skates and scooters ready! Beach Streets Uptown is an event you won't want to miss!

The one-day event, similar to ciclovĂa or open streets events in other cities and "CicLAvia" in Los Angeles, will open up Atlantic Avenue for walking, bicycling, skateboarding, scootering and socializing, by temporarily closing the street to vehicle traffic from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The transformation will stretch from Harding Avenue to Wardlow Road.

Participants may enter and exit the route at any point along the way. There will be access to the route from both the Wardlow and Artesia Metro Blue Line stations as well as from the Los Angeles River bike path.

The seven mile round trip route along Atlantic Avenue will feature music, art, entertainment, activities and food for the whole family.
