Second District Neighborhood Associations
Alamitos Beach Neighborhood Association
The Alamitos Beach Neighborhood Association provides residents with the opportunity to voice their opinions, improve the quality of life for community, and promote safety, cooperation and cultural diversity. This association meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Bixby Park Recreation Center, 130 Cherry Avenue. AOC7 Neighborhood Association
AOC7 stands for Anaheim, Orange, Cherry & 7th St. These four streets represent the borders of the community (2nd,4th & 6th Council Districts). AOC7 is a neighborhood organization founded to improve the overall quality of life within their community. AOC7 is committed to accomplishing its mission by joining residents and businesses to prevent community deterioration and enhance public safety. AOC7 meets every first and third Wednesday (7:00 pm - 8:00 pm) for discussions about public safety, code enforcement and quality of life issues. Meetings are held at the Choices Cafe, 1601 East 10th Street (corner of Walnut & 10th Street). Bluff Heights Neighborhood Association
Bluff Heights, which runs from Broadway to 4th street and from Junipero to Redondo, offers many outstanding and unique restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques. The Bluff Heights Neighborhood Association organizes neighborhood-freindly events including a 4th of July Block Party and tours of historic homes. BHNA meets quarterly at Mann Elementary School. Craftsman Village Historic District
Partnered with the Hellman Neighborhood Association and located from 7th to 10th Streets between Walnut and Orange, the Craftsman Historic District dedicates itself to preserving its rich heritage and improving the quality of life for the community. East Village
Long Beach 's emerging arts community has made its home in the East Village where virtually every art form is represented. Home to the Museum of Latin American Art (MoLAA), the nation's only museum to exclusively feature art from Latin America, the East Village offers cutting-edge exhibits, one-of-a-kind galleries, unique retailers, and chatty sidewalk cafes. The East Village is also a popular place to browse through galleries and explore some of the city's most eclectic boutique stores. The Hellman Area Neighborhood Association
The Hellman Area Neighborhood Association (HANA) covers 7th to 10th Streets between Orange and Alamitos. HANA works hard to improve residents' quality of life by improving public safety, eliminating blight and reducing chronic neighborhood nuisances such as noise. HANA also focuses on historic preservation; the Craftsman Village Historic District is located within HANA's boundaries. Promenade Area Residents Association
The Promenade Area Residents Association (PARA) is committed to building a community by making their neighborhood a place to live, know their neighbords, and feel like a part of a community. The neighborhood is located within the following boundaries: East Long Beach Blvd., North by 3rd Street, West by Pacific Avenue, South by Ocean Blvd. Rose Park Neighborhood Association is committed to improving the quality of life for residents, focusing on area issues and creating a sense of community. Rose Park
The Rose Park Neighborhood Association is committed to improving the quality of life for residents, focusing on area issues and creating a sense of community. The association has recently created an historic district status for areas north and south of Seventh Street. The group meets on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Luther Burbank Elementary School, at 4th Street and Junipero Avenue.
