Long Beach Early Childhood Education Committee Appreciation Mixer - Friday, October 30, 2009 at St. Mary Medical Center

The public is invited to attend a mixer to learn more about what the City of Long Beach is doing to improve early childhood education. The City of Long Beach Early Childhood Education (ECE) Committee is hosting a free, appreciation mixer for funders who have supported and made contributions to ECE programs on Friday, October 30, from 7:30 to 9:00 am, at St. Mary Medical Center, 1055 Linden Ave. (in the Parr Center).  

The mixer will highlight the importance and successes of Early Childhood Education, and will include breakfast and complimentary parking.

Agencies and officials being honored include:

  • Verizon
  • Molina Healthcare
  • Miller Children's Hospital
  • California Community Foundation
  • Earl B. and Loraine H. Miller Foundation
  • Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center
  • Don Knabe, Chair of the Board and 4th District Supervisor, County of Los Angeles

"It is important to recognize those who continue to support and contribute to what we believe in, and that all children in Long Beach will be healthy, safe and educated," said Raymond Chavarria, United Cambodian Committee Associate/Project Director.
