The City of Long Beach is proud to announce its latest Tree Planting Program. On June 15, 2010 the City received a Tree Partnership grant from the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) to plant a total of 1,000 trees in Long Beach within 12 months.
Trees planted through this grant must be planted on public property and can be planted either by community/neighborhood groups or by request through the City of Long Beach Office of Sustainability.
If you are a homeowner or community/neighborhood group and are interested in finding out about eligibility and how to request trees through the Tree Partnership, please fill out this brief Tree Planting Program Questionnaire for more information.
