| May 2013 Sustainable Events: | Solar 101 Community Workshop Wednesday May 1st 6:30-7:30pm  Organized by AMECO, the workshop will teach you how to use the sun's power to benefit your home or business. Our team of experts will go over the basics of solar energy in addition to other topics including: how much money you can save with solar, how to finance a solar installation, and how to choose the best solar system and solar installer. Thomas Administration Building. | Litter-Free LB More than 147 tons of litter and dumped items are collected annually by volunteers participating in clean-up events hosted by the Environmental Services Bureau. Clean-up events happen year-round. A litter-free Long Beach depends on volunteers like you! | Beach & Wetland Clean-ups "Save Our Beach" conducts monthly beach and wetland cleanups in Seal Beach and Long Beach.
