PUBLIC SAFETY

The Measure A Year Three Investment Plan includes $32,126,982 for Public Safety.

Public Safety investments include:

  • $2,296,881 to maintain Fire Engine 8
  • $1,538,272 to maintain Police South Division
  • $1,110,176 to maintain Fire Paramedic Rescue 12
  • $3,508,805 to maintain Police Academy Staffing and maximize Academy classes
  • $13,776,059 to preserve Police services
  • $5,559,640 to preserve Fire services
  • $1,900,000 for Neighborhood Safe Streets
  • $900,000 to fund second Fire Academy
  • $600,000 for Camera Technology
  • $565,232 for HEART Team
  • $371,917 for Quality of Life Unit

The Measure A Year Three Investment Plan includes an estimated $31,884,739 for capital improvement projects to help rebuild Long Beach’s infrastructure.

Infrastructure investments include:

  • $9,504,739 for Mobility
  • $11,476,500 for Parks
  • $8,965,000 for Public Facilities
  • $1,938,500 for Stormwater Protection
