PUBLIC SAFETY

The Measure A Year One Investment Plan* includes $9,334,059 for Public Safety in FY 17.


Public Safety investments include:

•$2,296,881 for the restoration of Fire Engine 8
•$2,372,829 for the restoration of Police South Division
•$650,000 for the restoration of Fire Paramedic Rescue 12
•$850,000 for the restoration of Police Academy Staffing
•$2,254,496 to maintain Police services
•$909,853 to maintain Fire services

INFRASTRUCTURE

The Measure A Year One Investment Plan* includes an estimated $25,739,000 for capital improvement projects to help rebuild Long Beach’s infrastructure in FY 17. 


Infrastructure investments include:

•$17,570,000 for Streets**
•$6,098,000 for Parks
•$2,071,000 for Public Facilities

•$1,110,176 to maintain Fire Paramedic Rescue 12
•$5,708,805 to maintaining Police Academy Staffing and maximizing Academy classes
•$5,908,912 to preserve Police services
•$2,384,675 to preserve Fire services
•$1,000,000 for Neighborhood Safe Streets
•$750,000 for Camera Technology
