On Wednesday, November 19, the City of Long Beach held its third and final community workshop on the Long Beach Breakwater Reconnaissance Study.  The City sought community input on the Long Beach Breakwater at a total of three community workshops during the months of October and November 2008.  These workshops were held in the evening (from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.) in a variety of locations throughout Long Beach.  Specifically, workshops were hosted at the Belmont Plaza Pool (October 8), Long Beach Gas & Oil (October 29), and the Aquarium of the Pacific (November 19).  The feedback that the community provided will be incorporated into the final report that Moffatt & Nichol produces in April 2009.

All of these community workshops were intended to provide members of the public with an overview of the Breakwater Study and each featured small breakout group discussions. The meetings were interactive and sequential, as each meeting built on the community's input from the previous meeting.
