CA Green Jobs Corps


Thanks to Recovery Act funds, 125 California Green Jobs Corps youth, ages 17–24, are developing skills and gaining employment in green and eco–friendly industries areas of environmental safety,solar energy, recycling, green building and construction, water–efficient and drought resistant landscaping, and community supported agricultural opportunities.

The class assisted the City of Long Beach in the annual Christmas Tree recycling program and was featured on KTLA Live with reporter Gayle Anderson. January 2010

The California Green Jobs Corps grant, funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, was awarded by the California State Governor’s Office to the Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Board and it partners.
