Employment Opportunities

The Port of Long Beach and the Long Beach Airport infrastructure projects will have on-going opportunities for referrals to project contractors or union apprentice programs. Contractors entering various phases of construction will require local residents and will contact Pacific Gateway for referrals. To be considered for referral, individuals should visit a Pacific Gateway Career Center closest to them so that a list of all current skills will be readily available.

To Register: 

Please bring any combination of the following unexpired documents with you to any of our One Stop Centers*: 
    
State ID / Driver’s License AND Social Security Card 

OR 

School ID Card (with birth date) AND Social Security Card 

OR
 

School ID Card (without birth date) AND Social Security Card AND Birth Certificate 

OR 

U.S. Passport/Card 

If you are not a U.S. Citizen, please bring your unexpired Permanent Resident card or other unexpired employment authorization document.
If you are currently receiving Unemployment Insurance (UI) or have exhausted your UI, please bring your most recent UI documents.


Males born on or after January 1, 1960, must be registered with the Selective Service System.
