Silverado Community Forum: Saturday, April 27, 2013

The LBVPP Community Input Forum in West Long Beach took place at Silverado Park, 1545 W. 31st St., Long Beach, CA 90810, on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. A total of 287 community residents and leaders were in attendance. During the forum, community residents were asked several questions and prioritized their answers for question numbers three (3) and four (4). The top choices were as follows:

Question 3: What is currently working well to prevent violence in Long Beach?

1. Police Presence

2. Neighborhood Watch

3. Police Collaboration with Community

Question 4: What types of services should the community develop to help prevent violence in Long Beach?

1. Mentoring

2. Relationships between the Police Department and Community

3. After School Programs
