Q: What is Beach Streets University?
A: Beach Streets opens streets for walking, bicycling, and socializing by temporarily closing a major thoroughfare to automobile traffic. Basically, anything without a motor! (Officially marked means of transportation for those with disabilities excepted)

Q: What are the event hours?
A: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Q: Where is Beach Streets?
A: Beach Streets will take place on Atherton St., Bellflower Blvd., Los Coyotes Diagonal, and Spring St.
Q: Will I be able to get to businesses on the streets that are closed during the event?
A: Yes. Businesses are encouraged to be open the day of the event.
Q: What if I want to get to a certain business on along the closed route?
A: The best thing to do is to park on the nearest side street. We are allowing for vehicular traffic crossings on the following streets: Stearns St., Willow St., Woodruff Ave., and Palo Verde Ave.
Q: What if I only have access to my residence from closed streets?
A: Please visit the link for street closures.
Q: How do I get to the event?
A: We encourage you to bike, skate, and stroll or use existing transportation such as the Long Beach Transit or Metro.
Q: Where is parking for the event?
A: Parking is available on all side streets along the closed streets, but we encourage you to bike, skate, and stroll or use existing transportation such as the Long Beach Transit or Metro. Please check route information on our website.
Q: When will the Beach Streets route go into effect?

Q: Are there bathrooms along the route?
A: Yes, restrooms will be available along the route as well as at the major festival hubs.
Q: Which direction does Beach Streets Flow?
A: Both directions, you will follow the regular flow of traffic. There is no right or wrong place to join the route, enter at any point along the route!
Q: Will there be entertainment?
A: Of course! Festivals will be held at The Pyramid, Whaley Park, and the west and east side of Spring St. There will also be entertainment along the route. Check back later for the full list of things to do!
