Councilwoman Stacy Mungo

Stacy Mungo was born in Long Beach and is a product of the Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD). She is an experienced professional with a deep, personal connection to the city. Stacy attended Long Beach City College and earned a Bachelor’s in Political Science from CSU Fullerton and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.

Her background is diverse, and includes: working for local and state governments, successfully growing private companies, leading local non-profit organizations and volunteering for community and school associations. View full bio.

Over the course of the next few months, the City will be holding a series of meetings to obtain public feedback on the LAEDC minimum wage study, as approved by Council, and to provide input to our community leaders and policymakers.
In an effort to encourage residents to make sure their pet's license is current and to increase voluntary compliance with the City's pet licensing program, I authored an agenda item on September 8 to implement a one-time, short-term amnesty program to waive all late fee penalties.
On September 15, the City Council unanimously adopted the Fiscal Year (FY) 2016 Budget, which takes effect October 1st and which preserves and funds critical government services.
